Starbucks on Lincoln Street celebrates grand opening

The Vista area of downtown Columbia has a Starbucks again with the grand opening on the first floor of the 650 Lincoln development. MOA Architecture worked with PRIMO Partners, LLC to redevelop the 600 square-foot space. One important and unique aspect of this design is a mural honoring Henrie Monteith Treadwell, the first black student to be admitted at the University of South Carolina and whose class action suit market the beginning of integration at the University of South Carolina.

Starbucks at 650 Lincoln is on the southern side of the Vista, near Colonial Life Arena where the USC Gamecocks play basketball. It joins Jersey Mike’s and Tropical Smoothie shops to provide food and beverages to the student population and faces outward on Lincoln Street.

MOA Architecture was responsible for full A/E services on this renovation.
