CEO / Architect
Michael Allen has 22 years of successful architectural design, business development and project management experience, including LEED and Green Globe Sustainability projects.
He has deep knowledge of a variety of project scales and budgets which stems from his leadership on higher education, K-12 education, civic, cultural, commercial, and sports & recreation projects.
Michael’s true passion is people. He believes that design can help create a world where all people feel included, powerful and free in the spaces where they live, work and play. He founded MOA to guide and support clients towards that end.
Michael serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Liberty Fellowship, Spartanburg Methodist College, and the State Chamber of Commerce Diversity Council. He also serves on the Greenville Community Remembrance Project Monument Committee. Michael previously served on the Greenville City Planning Commission, the Greenville Technical College Foundation Board, and he is the former Chair of the Leadership South Carolina Board and the Clemson University Black Alumni Council.
Michael played football at Clemson University and was awarded the 2019 Brian Dawkins Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in career and community achievements. Michael also received the 2021 Social Justice Award from the South Carolina Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Larry Moore
Retail Studio Director
As the retail studio director, Larry Moore is responsible for all phases of design and construction of retail projects from beginning to completion.
Larry serves as the primary client contact for each project in the retail studio, leading the project team and collaborating with the principal architect to produce architectural design within MOA’s design standards.
Larry joined the team in 2022 with seven years of experience in architecture as a director and project manager. He specialized in retail projects throughout his career, and he has an associate’s degree in drafting and design and a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He has also served in the United States Army and the South Carolina National Guard.
Reggie Stewart
Project Manager
As Project Manager, Reggie refines systems, strengthens project execution, and serves as a trusted point of contact for clients.
Reggie has more than two decades of experience in higher education, K–12, and institutional facilities planning and design. Most recently serving as Director of Space Management within Planning, Design & Construction at Clemson University, he worked closely with university leadership to align academic and research space planning with both short-term needs and long-range campus strategy.
Reggie’s career also includes project management and architectural roles at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina A&T State University, where he led renovation, repair, and new design initiatives while improving space utilization and operational efficiency across complex campus environments.
Throughout his career, Reginald has guided projects from schematic design through construction administration, coordinating consultants, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and ensuring compliance with building codes and accessibility standards. His portfolio includes K–12, higher education, research, and renovation projects, including work contributing to LEED-certified facilities.
Reggie earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Oklahoma State University. A LEED Accredited Professional BD+C and architectural licensure candidate, Reginald brings strong technical knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and facilities data systems, paired with a commitment to sustainable design and data-informed decision-making.
Gail Pasley
Operations Manager
A highly skilled administrative professional, Gail Pasley has 25+ years of experience assisting principals, executives, and project leaders.
Gail supports the MOA team by preparing AIA contracts, proposals and letters. She is a consummate professional with excellent communication skills. A well-organized gatekeeper, she often manages a range of tasks from office management to coordinating with Project Managers in the field.
Gail obtained her associate’s degree in secretarial science from Columbia College of Business.
In her free time, she enjoys planning events, fishing, and bowling.
