Starbucks at 650 Lincoln
Columbia, South Carolina
Client: PRIMO Partners, LLC
Location: Columbia, SC
Square Feet: 600
Contractor: LLE Construction Group, LLC
Starbucks returns to the Vista in Columbia, South Carolina, with a new location on the first floor of the 650 Lincoln student apartment development. The storefront was formerly occupied by Zombie coffee and was re-designed for to fit the Starbucks brand. One important and unique aspect of this design is a mural honoring Henrie Monteith Treadwell, the first black student to be admitted at the University of South Carolina and whose class action suit market the beginning of integration at the university.
The 650 Lincoln development is on the southern side of the Vista, near Colonial Life Arena where the USC Gamecocks play basketball. It joins Jersey Mike’s and Tropical Smoothie shops to provide food and beverages to the student population and faces outward on Lincoln Street.
