Camp Harry E. Daniels
South Carolina State University is reimagining historic Camp Harry Daniels with the help of MOA Architecture. Having already completed the 1890 Research and Extension Center on the site, South Carolina State University, in partnership with MOA Architecture, is bringing new life to the historic Camp Harry Daniels with a complete reimagining and rebuild of the beloved site. Building on the success of our recently completed 1890 Research and Extension Center located within the camp grounds, we have developed a dynamic master plan that transforms the camp into a premier destination for both youth camps and adult team-building retreats.
The new vision honors the camp’s rich history while creating state-of-the-art facilities, outdoor amenities, and flexible programming spaces that can serve a wide range of educational, recreational, and leadership activities. Designed for year-round use, the revitalized camp will feature upgraded infrastructure, modern lodging, interactive learning environments, and gathering spaces that inspire collaboration, growth, and connection to nature.
This redevelopment not only preserves the legacy of Camp Harry Daniels but also positions it as a vibrant hub for the community and a key resource for future generations of leaders.
